KSU urges Meghalaya CM to set up independent probe into police extortion racket

Shillong, Oct 5 (UNI) The Khasi Students' union (KSU) on Monday urged Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma to set up an independent body to probe an extortion racket allegedly run by police personnel targeting truckers along the Shillong Bypass. In a complaint to Sangma, the powerful students' body said the independent probe should be free from police reach or intervention.
