Jharkhand: Marandi seeks probe into allegations against DIG

Ranchi, Oct 1 (UNI) Jharkhand Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to order an independent probe into allegations of harassment, threats and obstruction of access involving a journalist's family in Ranchi's Ashok Nagar. In a letter to Soren, Marandi referred to a complaint submitted by journalist Syed Sharif Ibrahim and his family to the Argora police station, alleging that Deputy Inspector General of Police Alok Priyadarshi had obstructed access to their residence and misused his position and influence.
