Jharkhand: FIR against BJP MLA under SC/ST Act over remark on CM's mother

Garhwa, Oct 5 (UNI) An FIR has been registered against BJP MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwari under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and other provisions following a complaint over his alleged remarks about Chief Minister Hemant Soren's mother Roopi Soren, police said. The FIR was registered at Ranka police station on the complaint of Shravan Singh Kharwar, who alleged that Tiwari had made objectionable and insulting remarks about Rupi Soren in a video circulating on social media.
