Bengal fish traders allege harassment in Jharkhand

Kolkata, Sep 17 (UNI) Fish traders from West Bengal are allegedly facing harassment and extortion while transporting consignments to neighbouring Jharkhand, with traders claiming that fish-laden vehicles are being stopped and drivers threatened soon after entering the state. A police complaint was lodged at Shibdaspur police station on Wednesday night in connection with the alleged incidents. Traders from Rajendrapur in Naihati claim that they are facing serious difficulties in transporting fish to Jharkhand.
