Sumit Roy sent to five-day CID custody

Midnapore, Sep 19 (UNI) The CID on Saturday secured five more days' custody of Sumit Roy, an alleged close associate of Trinamul Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, in connection with the Salboni land scam case, with investigators claiming that Roy's interrogation had yielded crucial leads. Roy was produced before the Midnapore court on Saturday after the CID completed its earlier remand. The court granted the investigating agency another five days' custody for further questioning.
