Meghalaya HC refuses to direct elections to GHADC

Shillong, Sep 28 (UNI) The Meghalaya High Court has refused to direct the state government to hold general elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), upholding a gubernatorial notification that extended the council's term from April 19, 2026, to October 18, 2026.
