Mamata TMC's plea for urgent release of funds rejected by Calcutta HC

Kolkata, Oct 5 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's TMC has moved the Calcutta High Court seeking an urgent hearing to access funds for pending employee salaries, office rent and other essential expenses after a court-appointed special officer declined to release the money. However, the court rejected the party's plea for an immediate hearing. Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya said the matter would be taken up in the normal course after the Puja vacation.
