Odisha: New technology boosts mental healthcare at SUM Hospital-2

Bhubaneswar, Oct 10 (UNI) The Department of Psychiatry at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital-2, Phulnakhara, has introduced digital biofeedback therapy to expand treatment options for patients with psychiatric and stress-related conditions. The hospital announced the successful implementation of the technology-assisted psychotherapy on Saturday to mark World Mental Health Day, describing it as a step towards strengthening evidence-based, patient-centred mental healthcare. Digital biofeedback therapy enables patients to monitor and learn to regulate certain physiological responses associated with anxiety, panic disorders and stress.
