Odisha DMF audit: CAG flags Rs 43 crore excess doctor pay, Rs 2.18 cr idle ICU assets

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) District Mineral Foundation-funded healthcare projects in Odisha has come under the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) scanner, with the premier audit agency flagging Rs 43.94 crore in excess doctor payments and Rs 2.18 crore spent on ICU equipment that remained unused for over three years. The CAG has flagged excess payment of Rs 43.94 crore to contractual doctors and specialists engaged with District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds in Sundargarh and Keonjhar, besides finding medical equipment worth Rs 2.18 crore lying unused at Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital for over three years.
