AIIMS-Bhubaneswar unveils portable breast self-examination facility

Bhubaneswar, Oct 16 (UNI) AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Friday made operational a portable breast self-examination (BSE) booth to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage early detection, claiming it to be the first of its kind in India. Inaugurated by Executive Director Dr. Ashutosh Biswas as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the booth provides a private space for women to learn breast self-examination through easy-to-follow instructions. The Department of Medical Oncology also plans to set up a permanent booth.
