AIIMS-Bhubaneswar secures Rs 42 crore for over 200 research projects

Bhubaneswar, Nov 5 (UNI) AIIMS Bhubaneswar secured Rs 32.2 crore in extramural research grants through 187 projects in 2025-26, with another Rs 10 crore-plus sanctioned through 29 projects in the current financial year, underscoring its growing research capabilities and collaborations. The institute is currently supported by 24 international, national and regional funding agencies, Executive Director Dr Ashutosh Biswas said at its fourth Annual Research Day, themed "Innovate, Translate, Heal: Advancing Biomedical Frontiers". He said the institute was focusing on translating biomedical research into advanced diagnostics and evidence-based patient care, particularly in cancer, infectious diseases, public health, microbiome and mental health.…
