Odisha's handlooms, handicrafts get fashion-driven market push

Bhubaneswar, Oct 11 (UNI) Odisha's rural weavers and artisans are getting a wider market for their traditional products, with the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) showcasing indigenous handloom and handicrafts at Bhubaneswar Times Fashion Week 2026 to boost sales and strengthen rural livelihoods. The two-day event featured ORMAS as its co-powering partner. Forty models, including Ollywood actress Sangeeta Shibani, showcased collections featuring Sambalpuri silk, Kataka Khandua, Maniabandha and Pattachitra silk sarees, GI-tagged Kotpad textiles, Dhalapathar weaving, Dhokra craft and fabric jewellery, including products under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
