Flood situation remains critical as several rivers flowing above danger marks

Patna, Oct 4 (UNI) The flood situation in Bihar remained grim on Sunday as the Ganga, Gandak, Kosi, Bagmati, Burhi Gandak, Kamla and Ghaghra rivers continued to flow above their respective danger marks at several locations, with rising water levels in some areas causing concern among people living along the riverbanks. According to data released this morning by the Water Resources Department, the Gandak was flowing 0.48 metre above the danger mark at Dumariaghat in Gopalganj and 0.78 metre above the danger mark at Lalganj in Vaishali.
