Fish farming, poultry promoted to strengthen rural women's livelihoods in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 15 (UNI) With a focus on improving rural women's earnings, ICAR-CIFA has showcased modern aquaculture technologies and backyard poultry farming on Thursday as potential livelihood options in a programme organised by ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhubaneswar, to mark Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas. The programme introduced farmers to Biofloc technology, the Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) and drone applications in fish farming.
