Tripura HC directs DGP to ensure security for Left candidates to file nominations

Agartala, Nov 6 (UNI) The High Court of Tripura on Friday directed the state's Director General of Police (DGP) to ensure adequate security for Left Front candidates experiencing difficulties in filing their nomination papers for urban local body elections. This order followed a petition by the CPI (M), which alleged that its candidates faced intimidation and inadequate security in Mohanpur and four other subdivisions, preventing them from submitting nominations.
