Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar says North Bengal University VC issue likely to be resolved soon

Siliguri, Oct 4 (UNI) union Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Dr. Sukanta Majumdar on Sunday said that the long-pending issue of the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor at the University of North Bengal was expected to be resolved soon. Speaking to reporters in Siliguri, Dr Majumdar said the absence of a Vice-Chancellor at the university was unfortunate and had its roots in the earlier differences between the state government and the Governor during the previous period.
