Odisha targets Rs 20,000 crore bank credit linkage for SHGs

Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (UNI) Odisha government has set a target of linking SHGs with bank credit of Rs 20,000 crore during 2026-27 to further strengthen their access to institutional finance and expand livelihood activities,Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Tuesday. The Odisha government on Tuesday released Rs 99.26 crore in interest subvention to 1,79,809 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), reinforcing its focus on expanding women-led livelihoods, strengthening community institutions and creating sustainable income opportunities across the state.
