Health Ministry allows Tripura to move proposal for new medical college

Agartala, Oct 02 (UNI) The union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC), allowing the Tripura Government to submit a Preliminary Project Proposal under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), said Health Secretary Kiran Gitte. The college is planned for the District Hospital in Shantirbazar, with 100 MBBS seats. Tripura is pursuing the project through PMJVK, a scheme run by the Ministry of Minority Affairs to improve infrastructure and facilities in selected areas.
