South Tripura recognised as protected district under Mission AIDS Suraksha

Agartala, Nov 3 (UNI) South Tripura has become the first district in the state to earn protected district recognition under National AIDS Control Organisation's (NACO) Mission AIDS Suraksha programme for its efforts to strengthen HIV prevention, testing and treatment services. The recognition reflects the district's work to expand healthcare coverage, raise public awareness and ensure access to treatment for people living with HIV, said Secretary, Tripura Health Service Kiran Gitte.
