Former Tripura CM Manik Sarkar comes under attack

Agartala, Sep 27 (UNI) Former Tripura Chief Minister and veteran CPI(M) leader Manik Sarkar faced an attack on his convoy in Bamutia, on the northern fringes of the city, on Sunday morning. CPI(M) MLA from Bamutia, Nayan Sarkar, claimed that BJP members suddenly stopped Sarkar's convoy in the Kalibazar area, vandalised his escort vehicles, and threw eggs at his car. Thankfully, Sarkar remained unharmed, and CPI(M) supporters were escorted to their party office safely.
