Rajnath Singh to attend HAL Koraput's landmark 2,000th engine event

Bhubaneswar, Oct 5 (UNI) Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)'s Koraput division will mark a major milestone on Tuesday with the handover of its 2,000th aero engine, in a ceremony to be attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The programme will also witness the launch of a second manufacturing line for Shakti engines, backed by an investment of Rs218 crore. The new facility is aimed at increasing production capacity to meet the growing demand for engines used in indigenous helicopters.
