Odisha steps up night patrolling of water bodies amid heavy rains

Bhubaneswar, Sep 24 (UNI) The Odisha government has intensified night patrolling and field-level vigilance at strategic locations across the state amid heavy rains triggered by a deep depression, official sources said on Thursday. Engineering officials and field staff of the Water Resources Department are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance of critical water infrastructure and closely monitoring river conditions to prevent any untoward situation.
