Bengal: Fake affidavit racket busted at Burdwan Court premises; four arrested

Burdwan, Oct 7 (UNI) Police busted a major racket inside the Court premises here, where fake affidavits were allegedly prepared using forged signatures and seals of Judicial and Executive Magistrates. Four persons - Vivekananda Ghosh alias Raja, Totan Das, Ratul Pal and Kishore Juin - have been arrested. Police seized several fake rubber stamps, non-judicial stamp papers bearing forged seals and Rs 50,520 in cash from their possession. Police said they received a tip-off on Tuesday evening that fake affidavits were being prepared at a photocopying shop in the Burdwan Court premises using forged seals of Judges. A team raided…
