Massive cyberattack disrupts Bengal govt. services, vast amount of data stolen

Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) The West Bengal government's data repository has suffered a massive cyberattack, resulting in the theft of a vast amount of data. According to government sources, cybercriminals launched a malware attack on the State Data Centre's servers over a span of five days, from September 9 -13. There are fears that vital documents belonging to several departments - including the Finance Department-have been stolen and destroyed. Cyber experts suspect that the compromised documents may include financial data from the previous administration.
