Odisha Vigilance unearths crores worth assets from PEO during raids

Bhubaneswar, Sep 22 (UNI) Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday unearthed assets worth crores of rupees during simultaneous searches at six locations linked to a Panchayat Extension Officer (PEO) in Bargarh district on allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Vigilance sleuths conducted searches at the properties of Kartikeswar Behera, PEO of Katabhal Gram Panchayat under Gaisilet Block in Bargarh district, and so far unearthed two multi-storeyed buildings with a total built-up area of around 14,500 sq ft, a market complex, a godown, 35 plots, cash of Rs 2.98 lakh and a tractor.
