Odisha factory officer with crores of disproportionate assets arrested

Bhubaneswar, Sep 30 (UNI) Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Umakant Samantaray, Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Sambalpur, for allegedly possessing assets 248 per cent disproportionate to his known sources of income. Samantaray was arrested after searches of his properties and premises allegedly unearthed assets worth crores of rupees, including several buildings and 30 high-value plots, the Vigilance said. The properties include a duplex at Nandan Vihar in Bhubaneswar, a three-storey building at Baliguali in Puri, a two-storey building at Balugaon in Khordha, a building near Indus College of Engineering at Barakuda and a 3-BHK flat at Dhankauda in Sambalpur.…
