Odisha police destroy cannabis worth Rs 419 crore

Bhubaneswar, Oct 5 (UNI) Police in Odisha's Boudh district have destroyed 83.79 tonnes of seized cannabis, valued at around Rs 419 crore, completing 100 per cent of the district's disposal target under Operation Dahan, officials said on Monday. Of the total 83,790.155 kg destroyed in four phases, 71,131.555 kg was disposed of in the first three rounds. The remaining 12,658.600 kg was destroyed at the Balangir incinerator on October 3.
