Arunachal Pradesh: Tawang Post Office employee arrested over alleged Rs 39 lakh fund misappropriation

Itanagar, Sep 17 (UNI) Tawang Police has arrested a 46-year-old employee of Tawang Post Office in connection with an alleged financial irregularity involving government funds of Rs 39.25 lakh. Police today said that the case followed a written complaint lodged on September 13 by H Nilamai Singh, Inspector of Post Offices, Bomdila Postal Sub-Division, after discrepancies were detected during a verification of the Tawang Post Office. As per the complaint, Sangeeta Ale, a multi-tasking staff (MTS), allegedly failed to account for government funds totalling Rs 39,25,211 as of September 10.
