Odisha: Four Left parties seek CEC's removal, halt to SIR

Bhubaneswar, Sep 26 (UNI) Four Left parties on Saturday demanded the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, an independent inquiry into allegations raised against him, and the immediate suspension of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML) Liberation and Forward Bloc also called for the restoration of names of all eligible voters allegedly excluded from the electoral rolls and for the Election Commission's independent and transparent functioning to be restored.
