Manipur: Cabinet approves enhancement of ex-gratia for Army/CAPF, assistance to missing victims

Imphal, Oct 1 (UNI) The Manipur Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, today decided to pay higher ex-gratia to Army/CAPF personnel, ex-gratia to families of 49 missing persons, constitution of the Fifth State Finance Commission and higher pension for retired journalists. Addressing the media here, MLAs Th Radheshyam and Dr S Ranjan, the two spokespersons of Manipur government, said the Cabinet approved a proposal of the Home Department to enhance the ex-gratia payable to Army and CAPF personnel killed or injured in extremist violence or actions while operating in Manipur.
