Election Commission changes symbols for Naushad Siddiqui, Humayun Kabir ahead of bypolls

Kolkata, Sep 19 (UNI) The Election Commission has allotted new symbols to Bhangar MLA Naushad Siddiqui and Rejinagar MLA Humayun Kabir after the 'jora phool' symbol was frozen, forcing both leaders to change the symbols of their respective parties ahead of the October 6 bypolls in Nandigram and Rejinagar. Siddiqui's Indian Secular Front (ISF) has been allotted the 'Almari' (Almirah) symbol, while Kabir's Amjanata Unnayan Party (AJUP) has been given the 'Table' symbol in place of the 'Envelope' and 'Flute' respectively.
