United Naga Council lifts economic blockade in Manipur

Imphal, Sep 26 (UNI) The United Naga Council (UNC) on Saturday announced the suspension of its ongoing economic blockade along Manipur's national highways with effect from 6 pm today, following a tripartite meeting involving the Centre, the Manipur Government and Naga civil society organisations in Guwahati. The decision comes after the UNC delegation participated in talks with representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the State Government on the prevailing law-and-order situation and measures for peace-building in the State.
