NKS, NYCS call 12-hour Odisha bandh on Sept 30 over textbook errors

Bhubaneswar, Sep 26 (UNI) The Nabnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) and Nabnirman Yuva Chhatra Sangathan (NYCS) on Saturday called for a 12-hour Odisha bandh on September 30, demanding the resignation of School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond over alleged errors in school textbooks and immediate replacement of the faulty books. The organisations claimed that as many as 1,678 errors had been detected in textbooks prescribed for students from Class I to VIII and alleged that the state government had failed to initiate any meaningful dialogue despite their agitation at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar entering its 37th day.
