Kolkata Municipal Corporation mulls hiring third-party agency to digitise old birth and death certificates

Kolkata, Nov 4 (UNI) The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) is considering hiring a third-party technology agency to digitise old birth and death certificates. According to sources, a large number of applications for birth and death certificates are pending at the civic body's headquarters. The number of pending applications is estimated to be around 30,000. Although certificates are being issued online, a substantial number of applications are yet to be cleared.
