Tripura revises Advertisement policy, introduces new categories for media outlets

Agartala, Oct 10(UNI) The Tripura government on Saturday amended its advertisement policy to reflect changes in the media landscape, strengthen professional standards and bring greater transparency to the distribution of government advertisements. Information and Cultural Affairs Secretary Kiran Gitte said the revised policy followed recommendations from the media advisory mechanism and suggestions on the media sector's work, growth and support for the media industry. The amendments set new categories for print newspapers, television channels and digital news portals. They replace the former A1, A, B and C groups with Large, Medium and Small.
