Odisha steps up efforts to strengthen flood management infrastructure

Bhubaneswar, Oct 30 (UNI) In a major push to strengthen flood protection and improve irrigation infrastructure, the Odisha government has decided to accelerate the appraisal and approval of flood management projects while expediting the implementation of key development works across the state. The renewed focus aims to protect vulnerable and flood-prone areas, strengthen river embankments, improve drainage systems and enhance the efficient utilisation of available water resources.
