Jharkhand: BCCL mine death, kin seek compensation & job

Dhanbad, Oct 3 (UNI) Family members and National Mazdoor union workers on Saturday staged a protest with the body of a BCCL worker, demanding Rs 1 crore compensation and a job for his dependent. The protest followed the death of Haulpak operator Lalan Nonia in an accident at BCCL's Vishwakarma project in Dhansar on Friday. The protesters alleged that safety standards were ignored at the project and sought action against those responsible for the accident.
