One dead, over five in blast after PNG gas pipeline leak in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur, Nov 2 (UNI) A powerful explosion caused by a leak in a piped natural gas (PNG) pipeline in the Gobarsahi-Dumri area of Muzaffarpur city on Monday left one youth dead and more than five others injured. According to official sources, a JCB machine was carrying out excavation work near the site when the PNG pipeline was accidentally damaged, resulting in a gas leak. Shortly afterwards, a massive explosion occurred, damaging nearby buildings. Upon receiving information, teams from the district administration, police and fire department rushed to the spot.
