Bihar: Young woman drowns in floodwaters in Saran district

Chhapra, Oct 4 (UNI) A 20-year-old girl drowned after being swept away in floodwaters in Parsa police station area of Saran district. Police said here today that the deceased, identified as Ragini Kumari, daughter of Manoj Rai and a resident of Chaksahbaz village, was alone at home when floodwaters entered the house. After shifting essential household belongings to the roof, Ragini left the house to move to a safer place but was swept away and drowned in the floodwaters, the sources said.
