Two drown in floodwaters in Bihar's Saran

Chhapra, Oct 5 (UNI) A teenager and a woman drowned in separate incidents in floodwaters in Saran district on Monday.

According to police, Ansh Kumar (14), son of Upendra Rai of Shilhauri village under Marhaura police station, and Leela Devi (52), wife of Ravindra Prasad of Jagdishpur village under Maker police station, died after drowning in floodwaters.

Police from the respective police stations reached the spots after receiving information and recovered the bodies.

The bodies were subsequently sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered cases in connection with the incidents and launched investigation.
