E-Lottery completes allotment of remaining houses under PMAY Urban lighthouse project in Ranchi

Ranchi, Jan 24 (UNI) The Ranchi Municipal Corporation today completed the allotment of the remaining houses under the Light House Project (Affordable Housing Project) at Dhurwa, implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), through an e-lottery system.
The process was carried out in a peaceful, fair, and fully transparent manner at the Corporation office in the presence of the Deputy Administrator.
Out of a total of 1,008 houses constructed under the project, the allotment of the remaining 140 houses was finalized through the e-lottery. A total of 311 eligible applicants participated in the draw, from which beneficiaries were selected and allotted houses.

Elderly man killed in fire mishap in Arunachal’s Simong Village

Itanagar, Feb 12 (UNI) An 80-year-old man lost his life in a tragic fire incident that occurred at Simong village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district on Thursday morning. The fire broke out at around 11 am, reportedly due to a kitchen accident, and completely gutted the residential house of Tabo Danggen. The elderly house owner was unable to escape and succumbed in the blaze. The house was entirely destroyed, official sources said.
