DRI seizes 249 kgs of Ganja at Vijayawada, AP; held five

Hyderabad, Nov 12 (UNI)The Directorate of Revnue Intelligence (DRI) officials seized 249 kilograms of Ganja at Kanuru, Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh and arrested five persons including the mastermind, a release said here on Wednesday.
Acting on a specific intelligence that Ganja sourced from Odisha is being stored at a premise in Vijayawada for the purpose of transporting it to Uttar Pradesh (Jhansi), the DRI officials, Vijayawada Regional Unit with the assistance of AP Police (Eagle Team) searched the premise on November 10.
Durng the searches, they found 248.82 Kgs Ganja packed in 242 packets with partial quantity stored in one of the rooms at the premise and some packets loaded in the secret cavity of the truck with UP Registration located at the premise.
