Dr C Rangarajan stresses need for growth with equity at ICFAI Convocation

Hyderabad, Sep 12 (UNI) Dr C Rangarajan, Chancellor of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, delivered the address at the 15th Convocation of the university on Friday, calling upon students to combine ambition with idealism as they step into the next phase of their lives.
Congratulating the graduating students and medal winners, Dr Rangarajan said their achievements mark both a personal milestone and a moment of pride for the country. “Your future is interlinked with the future of this nation. The country welcomes you as leaders of change. Idealism without ambition may not achieve much, but ambition without idealism is dangerous. May you combine the two in the right proportion,” he told the students.
Emphasising the critical role of higher education in nation-building, he said competition in today’s world is essentially competition in knowledge.
