DONER Minister Scindia to lay foundation for Agar Cluster Processing Centre

Agartala, Jan 20 (UNI) The Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M Scindia, is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the Agar Cluster Processing Center in Baragole of North Tripura district on January 24.
Officials on Tuesday stated that the project is estimated to cost around Rs 27 crore, and it is noteworthy as it marks the first time a national-level initiative is being launched in Baragole, near Kadamtala, along the Tripura-Assam border.
Officials emphasised that the Agar Cluster Processing Center is anticipated to create new employment opportunities, benefiting local farmers, youth, and self-help groups. The initiative aims to modernise and organise the agar industry in the region, thereby boosting economic growth and development.
