Disney+ Hotstar unveils trailer for 'Gunaah'

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Disney+ Hotstar has launched the trailer for its highly anticipated new series, "Gunaah," produced by Bodhi Tree Multimedia Ltd. The series, featuring Gashmeer Mahajani, Surbhi Jyoti, and Zayn Ibad Khan, promises a thrilling drama filled with mystery and will be available for free on the Disney+ Hotstar mobile app.

"Gunaah" tells the story of Abhimanyu, portrayed by Gashmeer Mahajani, who seeks vengeance after a profound betrayal. The series, directed by Anil Senior with Anirudh Pathak as the showrunner, is a tale of survival and retribution, exploring the complex transformation of a hero into an anti-hero.

The narrative promises to blur the lines between good and evil, delivering daily doses of suspense and drama. New 20–30 minute episodes will be released from Monday to Friday, starting June 3, 2024, offering viewers high entertainment value for a low time commitment.

Mautik Tolia, Managing Director at Bodhi Tree Multimedia Ltd., expressed pride in the collaboration with Disney+ Hotstar, emphasising the series' complex characters and gripping storyline. “Gunaah has been a labour of love and hard work. Our aim is to keep the users hooked and provide them with daily entertainment,” he stated.

Director Anil Senior elaborated on his vision for "Gunaah," highlighting its exploration of themes such as justice, love, betrayal, and revenge. “Our goal was to create a narrative that takes the viewers on an emotional journey of moral ambiguity,” he explained.

The cast shared their enthusiasm for the project. Gashmeer Mahajani described playing Abhimanyu as a transformative experience, praising his co-star Surbhi Jyoti for her talent and friendship. Surbhi Jyoti, who plays Tara, promised viewers an intense and gripping journey, while Zayn Ibad Khan, portraying Shiva, emphasised the emotional depth and rewarding experience of the series.

"Gunaah" is set to captivate audiences with its daily release of short, engaging episodes, making it an exciting addition to Disney+ Hotstar's lineup. Fans can look forward to a gripping saga of love, challenges, conflicts, and betrayal starting June 3.
