DGP takes tough stand on pending compassionate appointment cases

Ranchi, Dec 16 (UNI) The Jharkhand police headquarters has adopted a strict approach towards pending cases related to compassionate appointments to the posts of constable and woman constable. In a move aimed at expediting the process, the police headquarters has sought a detailed report on all such pending matters within three days.
The office of the Director General of Police (DGP) has issued instructions to all district superintendents of police, heads of battalions and chiefs of various police units across the state. The directive emphasises immediate action and accountability in disposing of long-pending cases.
According to the instructions, the Director General of Police will personally review all pending cases related to compassionate appointments to the posts of constable and lady constable on December 18. The objective of the police headquarters is to ensure timely justice and support to the dependents of deceased or martyred police personnel and to prevent unnecessary delays in such sensitive matters.
