DFS launches Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima for CGHS beneficiaries

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) The Department of Financial Services (DFS) on Wednesday launched Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima, a new optional health insurance policy for beneficiaries of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), aimed at providing wider and more comprehensive health cover in addition to existing CGHS benefits, an official statement said.
The policy has been designed exclusively for CGHS beneficiaries and can cover up to six family members under a single policy.
Beneficiaries can opt for a sum insured of Rs 10 lakh or Rs 20 lakh and choose between two co-payment options—70:30 or 50:50—between the insured and the insurer, allowing flexibility in managing healthcare costs, the Finance Ministry added.
