Devendra Fadnavis becomes Maharashtra’s third longest-serving Chief Minister

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has achieved a major political milestone by becoming the third longest-serving Chief Minister in the history of the state.
As of July 12, 2026, Fadnavis has completed 2,430 days in office, surpassing veteran leader Sharad Pawar’s total tenure of 2,412 days.
Fadnavis, who is currently serving his third term as Chief Minister, has steadily climbed the ranks of the state's political veterans. The list of the longest-serving Chief Ministers in Maharashtra is now led by Vasantrao Naik (4,096 days), followed by Vilasrao Deshmukh (2,686 days), with Fadnavis now securing the third spot.
