Demand to Publish Complete Works of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule During Bicentenary Year: Deputy Mayor Parshuram Wadekar

Pune, Apr 13 (UNI) As the bicentenary birth anniversary year of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country and the state, concern has been expressed regarding the non-availability of his complete literary works through official government channels.
Expressing strong disappointment, Pune Deputy Mayor Parshuram Wadekar has submitted a written representation to State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, urging immediate action on the matter.
Ahead of the upcoming bicentenary celebration program, a request was made to government departments, including the Government Photo Zincography unit, for the literature of Mahatma Phule. However, officials reportedly informed that no such material is currently available—an issue that has triggered strong reactions.
