Delta Air Lines' customer service still lacking after tech outage

Atlanta, July 22 (UNI) The US Department of Transportation has received hundreds of complaints about Delta Air Lines as one of the country's major airlines still has customer service difficulties in the wake of a global information technology outage, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said.
"We have received reports of continued disruptions and unacceptable customer service conditions at Delta Air Lines, including hundreds of complaints filed with [the Department of Transportation]. I have made clear to Delta that we will hold them to all applicable passenger protections," Buttigieg wrote on X.
He added that the airline must quickly give refunds to travelers who do not wish to rebook flights, free rebooking to those who do, as well as reimbursements for food and hotel stays to those affected by the incident.
